What cookies are
A cookie is a small text file a website asks your browser to store. Similar technologies such as local storage do the same job in a different place. Some are needed for the site to work at all, others measure how the site is used, and others exist for advertising.
This site does not set any cookie of its own on a plain visit. Everything listed below is either placed by a service we use, or created the moment you put a yacht in your basket.
Your choice, and how to change it
When you arrive, a banner asks you to decide. You can accept, deny, or open the preferences and pick category by category. Denying costs you nothing: the site works the same, we simply do not measure your visit.
To change your decision later, use the “Manage cookie consent” link in the footer of any page. It reopens the same banner, and the choice you make there replaces the previous one.
You can also delete or block cookies in your browser settings. Blocking the necessary ones may break the booking basket.
Categories we use
Necessary. These make the site function and cannot be switched off. They remember your consent choice, keep your basket and checkout session together, and protect the site against attacks. Nothing here is used to profile you.
Statistics. Google Analytics 4, used to count visits and see which pages people read. It is switched off until you accept. If you deny or ignore the banner, no request is sent to Google and no analytics cookie is created.
Marketing. We do not run advertising cookies, remarketing pixels or ad networks on this site.
What loads before you decide
We would rather name it than leave it out.
Google reCAPTCHA protects our contact form from automated abuse. It loads with the page, before the banner is answered, and sets a cookie in the process. We use it because a contact form without spam protection becomes unusable within days.
We have decided to keep it rather than block it. A contact form without spam protection fills with junk within days, and blocking it would mean that anyone who declines cookies cannot send us a message at all. If that balance changes, so does this page.
Typography used to load from Google servers as well. Since 7 August 2026 the font files come from our own server, so simply displaying this site sends nothing to Google.
The full list
The table below is generated from the actual cookies found on this site and updates itself when something changes, so it does not go stale the way a hand written list does.
Third parties and where data goes
Google (Analytics, reCAPTCHA) is based in the United States and processes data under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. Our booking and payment chain uses NauSYS for availability and Teya for card payments; those process the data you enter when you make a reservation, which is covered in the Privacy Policy rather than here.
Parts of the site are built with code served from other networks: unpkg.com and cdn.jsdelivr.net supply the date picker, the sliders and the map component, and the map itself is drawn with tiles from OpenStreetMap and Esri. None of them set a cookie, but each one sees your IP address at the moment your browser fetches the file.
Your rights
You can ask us what personal data we hold about you, ask for a copy, ask for a correction, or ask us to delete it. Write to info@splityachtcharter.com and we will answer within the deadline the General Data Protection Regulation sets.
If you believe we handle your data incorrectly, you can complain to the Croatian Personal Data Protection Agency (AZOP), Selska cesta 136, 10000 Zagreb, azop.hr.
Changes to this policy
When we change which services run on the site, we update this page and the date at the top. The cookie table updates on its own.
